Well...First Case of Pink Eye

Gonna catch up on as much as I can in one blog. (If I did this more often I wouldn't have to cram so much into one blog, but I am so busy it feels like anymore). Grandma and Paw Paw have been teaching him to say his prayers before he eats his meal. Well at fellowship on Sunday in Pecos ( I was visiting ) Grandma got him a plate of food so he wouldn't disrupt prayer and before he ate the food he folded his little hands and bowed his head to say his prayer. I started having a fit trying to get Sharon to look. It was way to cute and made me want to cry. He can also say the first five books in the Bible and no lie can say Pennsylvania (Pennsylvanna is how he says it).

~*Anyways to this week*~

On Friday I took Clayton to Monahans to meet his grandmas at K-Bobs and eat. We had a wonderful dinner. Clayton even said prayers for the table behind us. Well, on the to Pecos (after I left) Clayton was having a fit because the sun was in his eyes (normally he just covers his eyes till it goes away) but apparently the sun was really irritating him. All fine after they got home and he played well. On Saturday he woke up and his eyes were basically glued shut with crust and it took 30 minutes to get them open. It didn't happen on Sunday that way, just a little bit of oozing when he took a nap. Now...this morning it was awful. I let him sleep in our bed just so I could keep an eye on him. His eyes were closed shut again. I noticed it before I woke him up so I soaked his eyes. Didn't work. I swung by his daycare asked what they thought they agreed on the pink eye theory (or allery infection) so Clayton got to go to work with me. I had to open this morning and till someone got there I had to be there.

~*So my Monday was halfway awful*~

I took Clayton to the doctor's office. I won't even go into that visit it was awful. After I finally got into the office (and waited 30 minutes for the doctor) she got us Clayton needed and more. While she was talking to Clayton she heard the helicopter coming and opened the blinds so Clayton could see it land. He LOVED it! Then she started asking what was wrong with him and I talked to her about the asthma the doctor in Crane didn't want to diagnose him with yet. She asked if I had given him more than 3 or 4 breathing treatments in his life, I laughed said yes, and she said he has asthma! She prescribed him singulair for kids, more medicine for his breathing machine, and medicine for his eyes. That ended great.

~*Anyhow*~

Clayton is feeling much better I put him down at 7:30 and he's been asleep since. It is also now my turn to go to bed so I will update more later.

What is face looked like before medicine. He opened his eyes real wide for me...lol His left eye is much worse than his right.

That's all for now ya'll.

Oh and I quit smokin'!!!!! This Wednesday will be 2 weeks!

Recent Happenings

Yes I know it has been forever since I have been on here. I feel like I have been sooo busy! Going back to work is so draining when you haven't done it for a while! So anyways....

Clint came home one day from work and told me the driver's license office was hiring and thought maybe I should apply. Hey...if I didn't get it 'oh well no big loss'. Well I ended up getting the job and at the end of my first day got a promotion! No kidding!! Actually I had applied for two jobs and got the lesser of the two and beat out of the higher paying one. That day I started another examiner position came open and I got it! YAY! Anyways, yes I am giving people driving tests. Scary huh? I have been there since the 5th or so of September and still really like it. I work with some really good people.

Clayton is going to daycare now and learning so much...both good and bad. He talks soo much now! He kills me so much sometimes to see him growing up so fast! I can't believe he is 2 1/2 now! Time flies!! It's so neat finally being able to have a conversation with him and for him to respond in a way I can understand him.

Clint is still liking his job too by the way. hehe..Can't forget about him! Right now we are in Ft. Stockton for Border Star. He will be here until Thursday morning and then be home. I am just visiting him for the weekend while Clayton is with Grandma in Pecos. Today they all went to Hobbs for Wyatt's birthday party. Wish I could have gone but I have a test for work on Wednesday and had some much needed studying to get done!

This month is going to be soo busy with Christmas right around the corner. Hopefully I will be able to keep up on here with all of the happenings! This coming Friday we will be visiting Vickie here in Odessa, she is having a Christmas party. The following weekend we will be heading to Sundown to Clint's aunts for an annual Christmas party and on the following Wednesday we will be heading to Sharon's for Christmas at her house! It just wears me out thinking about it!

My mom came down to visit right before Thanksgiving. It was so much fun and great to see my immediate family all at once! I had to work most of the time they were here, but they spent most of their time with Clayton and that is what matters! Alright well I will close for now with some pictures. Ya'll enjoy!

Long Time Coming

I know, I know...Its been what since November since I've updated? Well basically since we moved out here to the top of the caprock and only get dial-up and one wireless bar for internet its been nothing but a pain to keep up with anything but school work! So, there's the start, we moved right before Christmas, as a matter of fact the Christmas was in here before we were! I love our new house. It's only a manufactured home but we are on 3 acres. Definitly nice to finally not have someone who doesn't live RIGHT next to us.
Soo...Clayton is all over the place, as in, he is in every cupboard, climbing the sofas, climbing onto tables, pushing things to get where he wants, and talking up a storm! He said his first sentence the other day, it was much but he got his point across. He walked over to the cupboard where his juice and cups are and flung open the doors; he looked right at me and said, "I want juice!" Now he says that for everything, I want, I want, I want! He is saying please though. I just have to remind him every once in a while. Thank you is a little bit harder to get out of him and when he says it he is only really sayin "choo". His little dictionary of words is growing immensely(sp?).
We have wonderful neighbors who live across the street from us. They have six boys ranging from 13 all the way down to 2 years of age. The three that live with them full time are 3, 6, and 7. They treat Clayton no different than what they treat each other. It's like he has 3 older brothers most days! Travis and Laci have been nothing but the biggest help to us. We have been blessed to move in next to them.
Clint has been enjoying work. He is getting into all kinds of stuff especially with it being Odessa that he generally works. His first partner moved to Lamesa, but of course they are still friends. His second partner (FTO) had surgery I am guessing not too long ago, and as of the beginning of this month Clint's permanent partner got here and Clint is training him. I have yet to meet his wife, but I am sure it won't take too long to meet her all the guys wanna bbq out here while Clint puts a stereo in his first partner's new truck! YAY!
Most of you already know that I started selling Avon. That is still going pretty good. Since it started getting warm (well Texas warm, 90 degrees) I have been outside working in my yard. I feel like I have done so much. I am excited to see the end result! When we first moved out here this was raw land (pasture) and I have completely flipped it. Well, not complete pasture, they did level it out so it pulled out a lot of trees.
Sometime in February we had a few warm days so I got outside and raked the rocks that were pulled up. Well of course then the wind blew and uncovered more, sooo....I reraked the yard a month later. This then became a vicious cycle. Now I have part of the yard raked and I <FINALLY have some grass growing. It just came up a few days ago and I planted it last Monday and Tuesday. I have a garden growing now which I planted in April. I have two flowers beds, in one is 3 tomato plants. I have sunflowers, a blackberry bush, dill, lillies, 4 o'clocks, cane, 5 elm trees, and several mesquites that I am just watering for the fun of it. The mesquites can actually be nice looking if you prune them! In buckets I have a china berry tree, mulberry tree, 3 willows, jalapenos (also in the garden but the ones out there are from Wally world as well a chili pequins and tepins), a mamosa tree, and something else I can't remember right now. Anyhow, by my list your gonna think my place looks just like Sharon's, but not quite yet.
Well, I am sure I have written plenty for now. I will leave you with some pictures on another blog. BYE!
